  1. Japanese rice is stickier.  You might want to cook it a little longer, with a little more liquid, to get it mushier so that it will stick together

  2. No.  Sushi rice is incredibly sticky and glutnous, which is desirable, no, required, for sushi to stick together.  Most stores carry sushi rice now... you need 2 parts sushi rice to 5 parts water.

  3. You can actually buy  great rice at Trader Joes Market, it is for the Sushi rolls....  Have fun and YUMMMMO

  4. Not as good but you can get away with it.

Cook rice as usual and when done dump it in a large salad bowl, add rice vinegar and "cut the vinegar" into the rice. Don't stir it in as rice will mush up.  if you can, have a fan blowing on the rice to quickly cool it. This will give you the shine you want.

  5. BO, you need the sticky rice to do that.

  6. you need sticky rice to make it taste the best but that will do but sticky would be alot better

  7. i love California Rolls, make enough for us !!!
