How Can I make friends in high school?

Question

well im going to be in 10th grade this year

and i do have friends but its only 2, and were really not that close.

and sometimes, when they are both absent, im alone at school.

so i just need to get help on how to make more friends.

please help me, i appreciate it.

talk to people,dont be shy,if theres some one u want to get to no or be friends with TALK 2 THEM,its that simple

there are so many people in high school you just have to talk to people eventually your gonna find people that have the same interests as you and voila you have friends! : )

Okay here is where I had problems at as well. First off you shouldn't be at school to meet friends, they will come to you. Second, you should be more worried about making your grades the best you can get them. When I was in High School, all I thought about was making friends and not concentrating on what I really supposed to get done. So the outcome of me trying to make friends resulted in me dropping out because the people that I thought were my friends, weren't. Be carefull on who you make friends with as well. Now you may not like my advise but it's reality. Sorry if I made you mad. Hope my advise helps you some how. Good Luck and God Bless.

Don't push things, but at the same time be aggressive. For example, if there are some kids that you kind of know talking about a movie that they're going to see over the weekend, you can mention that you wanna see it too and they'll ususally invite you. However, the best friendships happen naturally. I'm sure you will find someone that is in the same position you're in and needs a good friend. Just be sure to stay out of drama, b/c that's what often comes along with friends! Good luck!

Just talk to people, don't seem so overconfident, or too shy, bc that can turn someone off!

i dont know...i am fortunate to have kept my friends from 3rd grade and made more in 6th (im also in 10th)
