How Can I make money, to pay for my horse

I need to make just under 1000 dollars a month in order to be able to buy my horse, i'm hoping my parents will pay half which is 488 dollars a month, how do i come up with the money. I'm turning 16 in september so i cant get a job yet. But i need to make 488 dollars a month for 4 months. help

  1. it's not really a way to make money, but why don't you ask your parents to pay it all until you get your job, then promise to pay them back

    or, you can ask if you can do chores around the barn to pay for part of the board. Tell the barn owners, that you''l clean stalls and feed and water the horses every day to help you pay for your board


  2. Get some work as a farmhand and muck out stables, good way to earn money and keep fit.  

  3. If you are at a livery yard you could ask if they have any work that you could do. Offer riding/schooling mucking out and everyday things. If there is no work available look at other places that may have the opportunity.

  4. Go to where ever your going to board your horse and ask if you can do chores around there for the money. Most people who board horses always need help cleaning stalls and barns, walking horses or cleaning tack.

    It will also show your parents that you are responsible enough to take care of a horse.
