Question:

How Can I make money (no business opportunities answers, please)?

I am a military wife and I have had 2 jobs which I've had to leave to support my husbands career. Because I have bills left over from a failed business venture, I need to bring money in, so not working is not an option. However, the area that we have moved to has no jobs in my field that I remotely qualify for. Sure I could get a job in fast food, but I have done the math, and I still wouldn't be able to cover my bills. Its so hopless and scary because I don't know what to do. I have started my own business again selling web designs (I am representing a company, not designing them) and post daily on craislist. I have gotten a few leads but no money yet. I am applying to jobs everyday and not hearing anything back. Is there anything I can do to make ends meet until sales pick up or I find a job? I have a blood borne infesction so I can't sell my plasma. Please, i am not interested in business opportunity links, only real answers that aren't trying to sell me. thanks

  1. Are you creative?

do you have it in you to become an artist? a poet or a writer maybe?

my mother started up with her art again after YEARS and she's making loads of money!

    just a suggestion!

also are you good with animals? you could take care of peoples pets?

  2. Put a bulletin up at church's, grocery store, etc. for taking care of kids.  You'll get response especially in the summertime when kids are out of school and parents are in a bind.  I did this a couple of summers.  Be prepare to give parents references to ease their minds that you are a good and caring person.

  3. It doesn't sound like your really working your business that you currently have.  Which is the reason why you aren't making any money in your business.  There's an article on businesses (home based from what it sounds like your doing) that I think you should read. http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-8ZO3Ykk8d...

It might help you get somethings going with your business.  How did you come across this business your involved in now? Start talking to others that have the same business and ask them for advice on what they do.

With your constant moving, getting a traditional job and not being able to get one in your field.  Your next best bet  is to look into home jobs, however most pay minimum wage earnings.  You can also do survey's along side of it, but they pay less then minimum wage.  Here's a couple articles on survey's and home jobs with places you can apply for if you think you qualify for them.  I'm not sure what your experience is, so I don't know if this is in your ball park.
