Question:

How Can I stop my bmx front brakes from rubbing along the wheel rim?

My brakes on my bike are rubbing along the rim, which is a nightmare as its making it hard to ride and also making a very annoying noise! I have tried to alter the cables to make it looser but this only seems to make the brakes tighter. The brakes work fine they just dont return back to where they should after I have used them. If this makes any sense to anybody and you can be of some help that would be great. Thanks

  1. well ur brake line is kinda tight. u can loose them alilttle bit. and u gott loosen the 2 lil break thingy on the rim. 2 black thing . if u noe wat im talkin abkout. and if that help

  2. follow the cable to the brake armiture near the tire , there should be a set s***w , turn counterclockwise 2 revolutions and they should stop rubbing

  3. you shoud be able to adjust them without loosening the cable. There should be a s***w/bolt that you can adjust. Its kinda hard to tell without knowing what kind of brakes they are.

  4. you just losen a allen king bolt then pull them out.
