How Can I tell if a website is safe?

Like if you are just randomly browsing how can you make sure you don't click on a bad site?

  1. Install site advisor to your browser and only go to sites with Green Checkmarks next to them.


  2. having a good anti virus program, is a good start, most sites that are not safe, will ask you to install and active x program or do some kind of click action. that should be the tell tail sign of a bad site, because sites you do want to visit need you to have these add-ons to view them. The bad sites will try and trick you. if your ever randomly asked to install anti virus software. stop what your doing and close out everything.  

  3. Use something like McAfee Site Advisor.

    There's also this program called LinkScanner which will scan links to check if the Website has malware on it.
