  1. I propose a  simple science experiment to see if the primary contributer to global warming is CO2, as there are many other ways it could be happening.

You get too transparent gas tanks with atmospheres in them approx. equal to todays N2/O2/CO2 ratio, and the same three main gases in our atmosphere 150 years ago.

You put them in regular sunlight, and measure how much the tempurature changes in each tank over a period of a few weeks maybe.  If you consistently get a significantly different tempurature between the 2 tanks, with the one with more CO2 being the warmer of the two, then you can prove that global warming is being effected significantly by the amount of CO2 being put out by mankind in the atmosphere.

Now, I said significantly, meaning a change of at least 1/2 of a degree difference in the two over repeated experiments.

That would prove to me that our contribution to the environments atmosphere may be causing global warming.

  2. Easy, watch this:

They're just guessing!  The Earth's climate has changed before!  Did dinosaurs drive SUVS?!

The Scripps Institution of Oceanography is full of liberal propagandist scientists!  The University of California, San Diego is a liberal governement institution just like NASA!

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the University of Washington, Seattle, and the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Japan are also propagandist government institutions!

Al Gore has a big house!!!

[brief interjection of sanity] By the way, Tim Barnett also provides a sneak preview of the planet's future climate here:

    SUVs on Mars!!!!

  3. The earth naturally goes through ups and downs in temperature and rainfall. (Even before mankind had any effect.)  It wasn't that long ago that people were worried about global cooling.

And answer this; what caused the end of the Ice Age before people were driving cars and burning fossil fuels?

  4. Dana is crabby because the house of cards she built is falling down.

  5. Do you believe in a flat earth? There are millions in the world who do. Is it the truth? I don't think so.

I think the big question is, What is causing observed apparent recent temperature increases? I believe the preponderance of scientific data indicates that we are not sure, but is seems to be associated with cycles in the Earth's orbit, Earth's magnetic field decline, and more importantly the observed increase in the severity of the Solar output. There is still a lot to be learned about the interactions of the Solar and Earth's magnetic fields. NASA's prediction is for the next Solar Max to be a biggy in 2011-2012.
