How Can You Heal Grass Destroyed By Aliens?

I woke up yesterday morning to discover a 15 ft circle of grass burned on my front lawn. How can I heal it?

if it was really from aliens, i'd leave it. that's a great coffee table chat. otherwise, just pull out the dead stuff and reseed it.  Some people say that the charred up pieces will help it grow, but i don't buy in. I'd just rake it off, add some topsoil, then reseed it, and water it regularly. try some miracle gro if you really need it back quick.

Please ignore this poster's question.  Move along and return to whatever you were doing before you read this.  It didn't happen.  There's nothing to see here.  The aliens didn't burn her lawn.  They, I mean, we mean, that there was an isolated acid rain storm.  Yes, that's what it was.  Acid rain caused by the industrial pollution on your, I mean, our, planet.  Now go away.

Remove the dead grass and at least 6 inches of top soil to prevent re-contamination. Then refill the hole to base level using high nutrient black dirt or topsoil mixed with manure.

Sod the area and water reguarly.

Seeding is also an option, but will be less likely to blend well with your existing lawn.

This is an infection of your grass,  is very common here in the uk anyway. It simply burns the grass in a complete sphere, how it can do this so acurately beats me, I would not worry too much about ; it will repair itself, but I have a suggestion which is to try pouring some Jeyes Fluid around the circle, it works on most infections. Your "alien" is in the ground right under your nose., and you may even get some more smaller circles, the strange thing is, none of the circles are connected............good luck

I suspect your aliens came from the same planet "bunny" as mine did.  I loosened the burnt grass and removed it, scratched the dirt surface remaining, and spread seed covering it with a little soil.  You have to water it about twice a day until it sprouts and then the real work begins.  Those bunny aliens LOVE new sprouts of grass and will eat it down to bare earth in short order.

1. Take pictures of the circle telling the National Enquirer that aliens landed on your lawn and left this circle in which nothing grows older. It is true given everything is dead. If you like paint it blue. They like big blue dots and consider them lucky.

2. Dig up the burn part of the lawn and place plugs of the soil in containers and list them on eBay as UFO Miracle Grass. Who knows? Some may buy it to plant it. Others my buy it to worship it. My guess is most will buy it to smoke it. But the point is that the burnt grass will be gone.

3. Buy some new top soil and some Scotts Weed and Seed Bonus S and rent a tiller if you do not own one and till the earth. Water it daily and in no time new grass will appear.

Unfortunately the aliens might also appear and sue you for all the money you made on eBay  and in the National Enquirer. If they do discuss a long term book deal and marketing strategy. This could be bigger than Jesus on toast. Good Luck with all this.
