How Can You Make Your Sims Look More Realistic??

i know this question has been asked but i couldn't really find a really good answer. like an example would be like

do you have to download different skins or like expansion packs?

You've gotta download some stuff from www.modthesims2.com or other sims websites.

Basically if you want them to look more realistic, you have to download or create your own custom content like make-up, hair, etc, especially skintones. The following web site has many skin tones and some of them are made to be realistic.

Expansion packs don't make the Sims look more realistic but they may add some skins. The skins are generally the same but different colors in expansion packs.
