How Can a 11 almost 12 year old make money?

My daughter is always asking for money. Is there a way she can make some money without getting it from ME, and it doesn't involve much effort. Like she doesn't have to wait a couple days to do it example: Yard sales, babysitting, etc.

also is there any little jobs she could do anywhere that will hire 11 year olds?

  2. I have two sons, and I'm "training" them on yard work. So far, its just free (other than allowance) child labor, but I expect my oldest to start cutting the neighbors grass next year.

However, my 7 yrs old now wants a dirt bike.  I have a couple of pecan trees in my yard and he has just started "Taylor Brothers Pecans"  haha.

Pretty sure it's illegal for a business to actually put an 11 year old on the payroll. But a private business owner might pay cash to have some odd jobs done.

  3. what jobs does she do around the house... what is she responsible to do... pet sitting....

  4. babysitting is an ok job to start out with. In the United states it is illegal to be hired at that young of an age.

  5. The greatest way I found to make money was with a business. Something that costs little to get started, has a turnkey business model, has support from people who make lots of money running it and is setup to make money like clock work from the beginning. Look at it yourself.

  6. Try cleaning houses, washing cars, raking leaves, babysitting, sweeping porches, sidewalks and driveways,  dog walking, picking up dog p**p and doing odd chores for friends and neighbors.

There’s a company employing adults in my area that does nothing but pick up dog p**p in people's yards.  Get some gloves, a plastic bag and you're good to go.

There are lots of opportunities.  You will be making your own job this way and can be flexible.  Just be sure if you say you're going to do something for someone, get the job done well and on time.  Ask these people to spread the word that you need money and are willing to work.  With a good reputation, you should get lots of work.

Make a flyer with your name, phone number and what jobs you'll do. Leave it on the neighbors' doorknob, and give it to anyone you work for.

    Good luck
