I have about 35+ shirts that were misprinted. I was hoping there would be a chance for me to donate them to Africa. I know that the losing NFL Superbowl team donates theirs and I hope that they would accept mine.

  1. You could find out which organization the NFL teams you referred to uses to make their donations, I do not know which organization the NFL uses. You could check to see if any of your local faith-based groups support missionaries working in an African Country who might be willing to take the t-shirts. Otherwise, I can not think of a way to transport the shirts to those who live in Africa and could use them; without incurring huge costs to transport the shirts to any country in Africa.

Most charities that I'm familiar with that work in any African country do not typically accept small donations of clothing; for many reasons. First,  most do not have the resources to accept, sort, and then pay the transportation costs. Second, many charities prefer to use local businesses in order to support local economies.

Perhaps you could find a local group that works with immigrants or refugees coming to your area; these groups might be able to accept your donated t-shirts. Otherwise; check with your local Information and Referral Phone line to see which groups in your community accepts donated clothing....dial 2-1-1

Please remember that limiting your donation to only some place in Africa is asking a charity to pay to transport the t-shirts; so even though your offer is generous, it could end up costing the charity money.

  2. don't really know how to do that maby you can send them in like long distance mail or fed ex.idk

  3. Go to Oprah's website and see if you can't find a way to donate your shirts there ... I'm not sure she has a charity you can donate to, but you would be more likely to find a link to another website that will ... and thank you for this donation if and when you do make it ...

  4. through church's....just tell them that it's for donation...

  8. Just what they need, some capitalist trying to get a tax deductable contribution. Try some FOOD or aids drugs.

Edit: Hmm let me weigh that out....Clean clothing

or food  or medicine.  I'm done. You try.

I suppose it would be nice to be BURIED in a clean mis-printed shirt.

  9. First, Africa is an entire continent, made up of many countries all in various stages of economic development, many that are far richer and more advanced than even the US.  Second, why not just go to the NFL site and look for the info there?  If nothing else, you could go to the "contact us" section and email, asking them how they do it.

  10. South Africa is a rich country, though it contrast between poor and middle class persons. I would suggest you donate it to lesotho or Swailand.
