How Can i use photoshop to do a pic like this???

i have no idea how to use photoshop and i found this and thought it was neat but i do know it is from photoshop

yes you can with photoshop, i think there are 4-5 layers in that pic --the background, the couple, the font(black), and the red font. The background you use the liquify filter and the wind option. next create the  couple pic and cut the picture with the slice tool or crop tool. then create the font layers colored red and black, sorry i dont know the font types. Then stack all those layers and voila you have that pic.

I will help you, but need a bit more info. What version of Photoshop do you have? Do you use just a mouse; or do you use a Wacom Pad for drawing also? Do you consider yourself a creative person? Do you have a digital camera? I took a look at the .jpg you referred to. Creating those elements and creating the effects can be done rather simply. If this is your first project, do you want to use the same 3 basic elements as are in your sample? 1. Two people showing affection; 2. Blurred backround; 3. Written Message.

I can certaily help you. Here's a little about me: I have been editing photographs and creating advertisements for years, and have tried hundreds of photo editing programs through the years. I finally settled with Photoshop about 8 years ago. My work is in advertising- single page ads for magazines and corporate newsletters. I have tried video, but that's too nerve-wracking for me.

Assuming this will be your first expressive piece using Photoshop, when you envision your creative piece, will it be similar to the attached .jpg? Maybe for your first piece of art, you may want to do something totally different. If you want to learn how to do something like your sample, my suggestion is below.

To make your own version of your sample, you will need a good digital photograph of a girl and a guy. The project will go much faster if they were photographed together, but it is not necessary. I get a lot of calls to either take someone out of a photograph or put someone in. It does help though, if the expression on each person's face is similar, and is in line with your creation.You will also need to decide on a background. The sample's background is blurred; pretty much anything else in the background would detract from the emotion I feel the artist wanted to be strong.

Have a good idea of what message you want to express; and know what elements you want to use to express yourself. Let me know if you would like to work on a project in Photoshop with me. This was only a tiny basic lesson in art; it's a good starting point. I am new to this website. How can I send you an edited version of your photo, just for fun?
