How can you get carbon monoxcide in the house and how do you stop it?

anything that burns will emit carbon monoxide,it usually gets in the house because of a faulty gas/oil furnace,you should get a carbon monoxide detector if you have any type heat that burns fuel,gas-oil etc,but if electric heat pump or resistance heat ,then you don&#039;t need to worry about it.also ,a few people have died when they ran an electric generator inside the house or in the basement,using an internal combustion engine for power,the exhaust from the engine filled the living quarters with carbon monoxide,it usually happens during a power outage in winter ,never run a car in a closed up garage .have all fuel heat serviced regularly.......tom
