would look really bad and the Republican convention would be a smash up?

I have read those Q on YA for the last 3 days, what kind of American would wish that on their country, a whole city to be destroyed, just so someone can have their revenge!

I am neither Liberal nor Republican nor Christian, all I am is.... disgusted!

  1. i've must have missed that..but that's inhumane. it's even worse to make c**p up to make others look bad.

  2. I had not seen this happening......(?)

The only prayer I was aware of was the Republican prayers for 'a storm' to disrupt the Obama speech in Denver. I had no idea there was a reciprocal prayer.

Either way, it's just not right.

EDIT: I've been looking for about 10 minutes, and haven't found a Democrat prayer for a hurricane in New Orleans. Can you please put a link to your source?

    EDIT II: Found one!

However, I already knew this to be somewhat shaky AND biased while I was reading it. The person in question (I found after research) had NOT prayed for a storm, and also is NOT a Christian. The only connection between man and storm was that he found it strange that McCain is now the only nominee to EVER cancel a convention, and they have taken place during wars and other major events in the past.

    ((((hugs))))

  3. You error in thought.  The liberals are mostly atheist in R&S.  Just another example of their "kindness".

  4. I am Christian (LDS) and disgusted.

  5. Answer: I was not praying for Gustav to hit or miss any area. I was praying that as few people as possible would be harmed by the storm.

For the record -- I am a Moderate (Liberal in some views, Conservative in others) who thought that my CATS could have handled Katrina better with two self-aware goldfish and a monkey trained as a transcriptionist.  The Bush (national) and the Blanco (state of LA) administrations should be held liable for the delays in getting aid to New Orleans instead of beefing the number of our national guard members who were in a war that many people believe was and is unnecessary and wasteful

And considering that I was both a Katrina AND a Gustav evacuee, I am just grateful that this time the State government was proactive even if there are still areas needing improvement

  6. No one would ever wish destruction to their fellow beings, or fellow countrymen.  People I know would leave their jobs to volunteer to help a fellow countrymen out , not wish for their demise.

  7. I will go out on a limb and say that the majority of Christians feel as you do.

    GOD bless

  8. Actually Christians int he US are typically not Christian. They are more republican and more conservative.

Regardless, whatever kind of person said that or thought it, is not a person with any morals or values. No one in their right mind would wish New Orleans be destroyed not matter what the reason.

  9. OK!!!!! that is not CHRISTIAN at ALL.

  10. You're pulling this out of your own head. My liberal sister and her husband fled New Orleans ahead of the storm. I've been busy where I now live in Mississippi helping with evacuees, both through my job and volunteering. I suspect you're just another stealth Yellow Elephant trying to disrupt.

Nobody with an ounce of sanity wishes disaster. You're mistaking a few chuckles over the timing of the hurricane for something more than it is.

How do you feel about the Christians who told me it was ok that my father was killed by Katrina, since God was punishing New Orleans? Hmm?

  11. Just passed, what they are busy doing now is lynching Sarahs daughter and Sarah herself!

  12. how christian of the conservatives is it to pray for "rain of biblical proportions" to fall during Obama's DNC speech?

then "Mr. neutral" you should be disgusted by that too.

  13. And the riots and destruction and arrests they caused in Minneapolis.

I mean how is that getting a point across. Attacking the others delegates, slicing tires breaking windows and disorderly conduct!

I see not one liberal or democrat speaking out against it!!

Disgusted isn't the word I have for the liberal agenda anymore for the Democrats. especially the one's claiming Christianity!  HA!!!

  14. It IS disgusting.

I'm also neither a Republican or Liberal--and that by choice.  I don't want to be dragged down into all the petty squabbling.

I would propose, though, that its not "liberals" who prayed the destruction; it was a FEW extreme liberals who did so.  Unfortunately, it is the extreme voice that is often most news worthy.  I have a very hard time believing that the majority, or even a significant percentage of Americans, liberal or otherwise, actually prayed or supported the idea of praying for the destruction of New Orleans.

    God bless.

  15. "I am neither Liberal no Republican nor Christian..."  They're called Democrats.  That's the party name: the Democratic party.  It comes of as a smear when you refer to the party as a whole as liberals, sort of like the President did at his state of the union when he referred to the "Democrat Party."

I don't believe you intended to come off that way.    I completely agree that wishing for the destruction of a town for such reasons is uncivil and churlish.

  16. Back up your statement with proof that liberals ACTUALLY said those things, and I might believe what you are saying.

Show me the proof baby, otherwise?, zip your lip!!!!

Bush doesn't need help to look bad! All he has to do is open his mouth!!
