I came across some pretty fantastic cars at Japanese auctions but sadly they were out of stock. BTW, how do you find out the quality of cars at used car auctions?

Because they last forever and have the highest resale values. You can make the most profit selling them.

At car auctions, you cannot go up and look at the car to see its faults and problems.

That is the risk with buying at auctions.

Japanese cars are world famous for their quality and testing standards. Add to this the good roads in Japan, the 'drifting' culture, and the fact that the Japanese are fanatic about keeping their cars in top shape, and you've got a used car market that's a buyer's goldmine.

If you're buying Japanese cars off the used car market, make a note of the Grade that indicates the health of the car. Grade 5 indicates the car is almost brand new while Grade 2 indicates an unsuitable car. Some of the best deals can be found at Grade 3.5 and above.
