How Come When I Turn on my mac book the video chat light goes on?

some times wen i turn on my mac book the light next to the camera turns on. Also known as the video chat light. When this happens the video camera doesn't work. I would invite someone to a video chat but they couldn't see me. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

sometimes the the video gets stuck in the on position. the only way to fix that i know of is to turn off the computer, wait a few seconds, and then turn on.
