How Communication skills can be used in a health and social care environment to assist effective communication?

You can help assist with communication by making communication run smoother between you and the service user for example,
You may have a service user whom is blind and has partial hearing, when speaking to him/her you can make sure you touch his/her arm so they know your present and where you are standing aswell as leaning in and talking closely and at the appropriate level into there ear.
You are assisting them by making sure that communication is running fluently and making sure his/her inabilities do not get in the way of communication.
