  1. These might do the trick,  buy 3 of them, two for the sides and one for across the bottom of the bed.  Lay them down on their sides, like in your link.  Paint them any color you wish, then get some storage containers from Walmart, or Target, that fit in.

Put a piece of 3/4" plywood on top, and then your matress.

    Good luck.

  2. Not too tough.  All you have to do is build a bunch of boxes.  I'd suggest plywood or other sheet goods.  You'll need some sort of mechanical reinforcement on the joints, such as biscuits, splines, dowel pins, Miller Dowels, etc.  The back panel will add significant stability so secure it well.  The nice thing is that most all the pieces can be the same width.

Built the boxes.  Fasten them together.   s***w another sheet of plywood onto the boxes.  Add a trim strip around the perimeter.  Paint or finish and add your mattress.

  3. Thats pretty tough to build, but Ill tell you a way to build a simple one that you can store baskets underneath.

First get 2 4x4 posts then cut the posts so you have 4 posts 3 ft tall, Then get 4 2x6's and cut them to the size of your materess (lxw). s***w the cut 2x6's to you posts so that the top of the 2x6's are flush with the top of the posts, Put for deck screws on each end. Once done get around ten 2x4's and cut them all to length according to the with of your frame (measure it), they should be able to fit in between the frame that you made going width wise, them measure the length of the frame and divide it by ten. What ever the outcome is, is the space between the 2x4's. Spacing them out evenly, s***w the 2x4s in throught the outside frame into your 2x4's using the deck screws. Then place your matress on top, see if it fits. You could also stain or paint the frame if you wanted to. Then just stick baskets all the way around the perimeter of your frame underneath. Your Done! enjoy.
