How Dangerous is this job?

How dangerous is working in a foundry? What are the health risks? My guy is considering taking a job at Nucor in Auburn, NY. The money would be fabulous as I am a stay at home mom, but we want to know does the risk out weigh the benefit. Anyone with any knowledge? Thanks in advance, just worried about my guy.

  1. What will you be inhaling?  Molten steel?  A suggestion would be to contact the foundry people, they would know best.  Ask HR department.
