  3. The truth is that on the 20th century, colonialism had spread all over the world. Not even China escaped this evolution. There was basically a sharing of influence from the West to the East. As you can see, China has adapted itself to Western influence and along with it they have now gathered a few concepts about Christianity from the West. Today, Christian countries are popular countries such as the US and China is currently absorbing influences from the West, especially from the US which is a Christian country.

  4. After they tried to terrorize the peasants in China into accepting their beliefs the Boxer rebellion occurred and because the tried to chase out the Christians by kicking their asses and burning their churches the christians demanded they execute the Chinese living in those areas who weren't Christians and also demanded money . This cause a change of government after a long and bloody civil war . I have an album full of pictures for that conflict .

  5. Hello,

    The Tai - Ping Rebellion

One of the bigger effects was to spawn an Anti - Christ like figure who had some delusions about himself and ultimately 60 million died.

Here are some details in a nut shell:

Popular revolt 1851-64 that undermined China's Qing dynasty. By 1853 the rebels had secured control over much of the central and lower Chang Jiang valley region, instituting radical, populist land reforms. Civil war continued until 1864, when the Taipings, weakened by internal dissension, were overcome by the provincial Hunan army of Zeng Guofan and the Ever-Victorious Army, led by American F T Ward and British soldier Charles Gordon.

The rebellion was triggered by the famine of 1849-50, and was led by Hong Xiuquan (Hung Hsui-ch'an, 1813-1864). The most serious and widespread of a number of mid-19th-century rebellions, it began in the southern province of Guangxi, where the Hakka community had been partly Christianized. Hong Xiuquan declared himself to be the younger brother of Jesus Christ. Many of his followers were drawn from marginal mining, charcoal-burning, boating, and secret-society communities. Nanjing was made capital for ‘Heavenly King’ Hong Xiuquan, who committed suicide when the city came under siege.
