the show hannah montana. and actually her real name wasnt miley until she changed it. her real name used to be destiny hope cyrus and she changed it. she got the name miley from when she was little her sister couldnt say smiley so she called her miley. and low and behold....MILEY CYRUS. to answer the question though, her show hannah montana made her famous and then she started singing. so the answer "her daddy" is wrong. at age 8 she was in the movie big fish. sorry ^^^^

at age 12, she auditioned for hannah montana and landed the job. she was their second choice though. they wanted jojo to play hannah montana, but she walked away from the job. so miley got the spot. and hannah montana is a huge show now. and so, miley cyrus is famous.
