How Difficult is it to learn to longboard?

i am considering buying a longboard, how difficult is it and how much fun is it?

i have never skated before

fairly easy it just takes practice. its a ton of fun once you get comfortable at decent speeds. one thing you need to learn is how to foot break. just take the foot you push with and drag it on the ground. you will take off a lot of speed doing this.

It's a blast.  You can just cruise around, bomb hills or garages, or skate the park.  If you can snowboard, surf or wakeboard, longboarding should be easy to pick up
