It seems that Norway does not have a very diverse population, but I'd like to find some facts that support or refute this. What percentage of Norway's population was born in Norway? What percentage is of Nordic racial ancestry?

  1. The site below isn't particularly scholarly but it claims around 92% of Norwegians are not immigrants.  That does not include any stats of second-generation immigrants who still keep their parents' culture.

  2. Norway is a part of  the Scandinavian region.  The frigid climate is a strong deterrent to making it a desirable area to  immigrate to. There is, according to my data, little diversity in the Scandinavian population. Collecting information that will accurately indicate the  percentage of Norwegians  native to that nation,  will be difficult.  Besides, what is the importance of determining who has Norwiegan DNA.

  3. Let me quote the official Norwegian statistics:

"The immigrant population is now 415 000. This group accounts for 8,9 per cent of Norway's population. Broken down by country, 54 000 are immigrants from other Nordic countries, 51 000 come from other countries in Western Europe and North America, 80 000 come from Eastern Europe, and 230 000 come from Turkey and countries in Asia, Africa and South America."

  4. I can't find any information on who's born where, but I'll give you the site of the official statistics Norway, they'll surely have the information somewhere :)

    Good luck!
