How Do Brush Fires Get Started?

Question

Aside from arson, how does a brush fire in California or Nevada get started? I mean I know its hot and dry, now add some wind and all of a sudden the state is on fire? I don't get it. Can someone explain this phenomenon please?

well i guess spontaneous combustion if its really hot, otherwise, an accidental campfire spreads, or a cigarette is dropped, or even arson

Dry thunderstorms often cause wild fires.  Dry thunderstorms (as the name explains it) is a thunderstorm with little or no rain.
