How Do Floor Seats at the Air Canada Centre Work?

I bought two tickets on the floor at the ACC for Weezer. My tickets have a row number and a seat number, but I've been reading online about people waiting outside early to get good seats on the floor. Does that mean that my numbers really mean nothing and I have to go early to get good seats on the floor?

People do try to steal seats and act like they got lost. Happened to me twice at a leaf game. I got up to go to the washroom and two old guys where there. I got to the game and found two middle aged guys in my seats. Its kinda funny.
