If you won the lottery you will have a winning ticket in your hand.  You will call the number on the back and make arrangements to travel to your nearest lottery office to collect your winnings.

If you just got some email telling you that you won, it's a scam and you didn't win anything.

If you got an unsolicited e-mail. Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information.The following sites give more information

yah it is either me i got lots of e-mail like winning notification,or contact claim agent lol nothing was real or sometimes they are like business proposal or asking for help but they all lies dont trust anything of it
