How Do I Create An Abstract Wallpaper Using Adobe Photoshop?

I'm a real beginner at Photoshop and it confuses me so much! Well i would like help on abstract backgrounds, but any help on backgrounds and wallpaper would help a lot ^_^

Photoshop can be kinda tricky to learn at first. If you're looking to make an abstract desktop wallpaper, the possibilities are endless. When I was first learning how to use it, I looked up tutorials-- They provide great ideas and show you how to use tools and effects. My favorite site for this is Good Tutorials. They have a ton of great things to look at that are really helpful!

You don't say which version - but basically you need to pick the photo you want to edit, choose full edit then make sure you can see all the different EFFECTS (right hand side, top panel) and just click on an effect and drag it to the photo.

Some have different settings you can play with.

Never work on the original photo - but you can always undo any changes you make by using CtrlZ.
