  1. Read the Help section of any service that you try to use. There are permissions that you can use to hide your information from everyone but yourself [i.e. the "Just Me (Private)" permission]. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/per... for full details. You don't have to go that drastic, but you can either adjust your permissions for modules on your "My Page", "My Blog", and the 4 pages accessible via the "Settings" link AND/OR change the information to be fake.

Here are more resources for you to investigate:

    - IMPORTANT!: Thoroughly read the 360 COMMUNITY GUIDELINES at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui...

    - HELP Pages: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/

    - For MORE TIPS see some of my previous answers on various Y!360 & Y/A subjects by clicking on my avatar and scrolling down to click on my "Starred Questions" tab. Also, read more at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/kee_y360 by clicking on the "360tips", "vids" and "music" tags in the tag cloud on the left or the relevant posts in the "Highlighted Posts" section on the right.

    - For IDEAS you can check out other 360 pages by clicking on your "Search" link at the top of 360 or by going to http://360.yahoo.com/search.html

    - The 360 team blog at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 has many helpful links on the right side to help with setting up a 360 space and using other services with it.

NOTE: Some features are not available to users under age 18 for safety reasons.

If you still want to close your 360 space:

Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/ch... and click the Account Deletion link. If you read through the text, you will find this will also delete all associated services for that account like Yahoo! Mail. I recommend removing any content that you've added to your 360 before deleting your entire account.

BUT if you don't want to completely lose your Yahoo ID, then I suggest removing all content and information that you added to Yahoo! 360. Make all your settings (basic info, blog, communication, and every module on your "My Page") set to "Friends" or "Just Me (Private)".  The "Just Me (Private)" setting is preferred, but if you don't have that option choose "Friends." Delete all your friends (see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/fri... ). Change the background back to the default version - either called the "custom" or "classic" theme. Then, that's it.

You can't completely get rid of the 360 functionality without deleting your entire Yahoo account (mail, photos, etc.). You can only make sure no one who you haven't invited can view a feature and make sure that there's nothing there to view.

NOTE: If a COMPLETELY deleted account doesn't result in a deleted 360 page, contact CUSTOMER CARE by clicking the button at the bottom of this page: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/re... or use the ABUSE FORM at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/abu... . It's possible that you won't be deleted COMPLETELY from the user registration database until after 90 days.
