  1. There is no way you can get him to groom himself again. However, you can help him groom and keep clean by grooming him yourself. Just brush him every now and then. Actually, he might still be grooming himself when you are not there. I have never seen my rabbit groom. Don't worry!

  2. Brush him and talk to him. Let him know you still love him and he'll feel better and start taking care of himself again. Separation anxiety can be very traumatic for animals.

  3. More info please.  Did you come home to him having a poopy bum?  Is his hair falling out?  Look out of condition?  Is he eating and drinking the same amount as when you left?  Of course there may be something wrong with him.  Try to figure it out.

He may not groom himself for a miriad or reasons.  Poopy bum could be due to stress, feeding wrong/new foods, other things.  Hair falling out or looking unkempt could just mean that he's molting but also might indicate a parasite.  It is difficult to know how what the problem is.  Once you find out what the real problem is you will better be able to decide what to do about it.

I know of no way make a rabbit groom itself jf it is ill but I do groom rabbits often and they usually l**k them selves when i'm done in order to "fix" what I did.  Sometimes they just need a little help - especially if you want to get them through a bad molt or they have had soft poops.  I suggest grooming him yourself.

  4. He will only do it when he feels he needs to.Or you can get his front just bearly feet wet and he will start doing it on his own.

  5. show him by doing it on yourself and he might mimic you.

  6. Your rabbit might have a hair ball. To gat it so clean itself again try giving it a bath. My rabbits hat baths and they always have to clean them selfs. Is your rabbit still eating? Take the rabbit to the vet. If a rabbit stops grooming itself usualy something bad has happened.
