You need to set your default pic to a .gif pic

You can use many programs to make a .gif file. gif stands for Graphics Interchange Format. Which basically means it can be a moving picture. You need multiple pictures to make a moveable gif file.

If you want a simple program to make a simple GIF I reccomend UnFREEze. It's free and it works perfectly. Look for it here.

Once you have a GIF animated picture just upload it like you would any other picture on myspace and set it as your default. You default picture will now be animated
