i ride english and western i think i am a 17 or 16 in english i am looking for a horse that is western and english i want to know what size i am?

same as in english. whatever size you ride in you'll be the same in western.

You can measure the saddle that you currently ride in. You measure from the back of the saddle to the horn. Whatever size you ride in one discipline it is usually the same in the other. You can always go to a saddle shop and try a few on. They will just put one on a saddle tree or pommel horse and you just hop on and see if it fits.

If you are looking for a horse that rides both disciplines it really doesn't matter what size your saddle seat is. You just want to make sure that the saddle properly fits your horses whithers. So be sure when you start looking for a new horse that you take your saddles with you to make sure that they properly fit before you even consider purchasing it.
