Iam 18, about 5"9, 160 body weight, muscular built. Iam from Ontario, Canada. I have been playing baseball since I was born. Iam currently playing midget house league baseball. I have never tried out for travel teams before, I have been playing house league since I started baseball. I recently got scouted by the travel team to come play for them next year. I have always been the best player on my team, Iam captain every year. I have 10/10 speed, I steal all the time and never get caught. I can run really fast. Im also an lefty, Im a starter pitcher for my team, and usually do very good. I have an excellent slider, I throw fastball, curve, sinker. My 2nd position is 1st base. I have an excellent glove, I never missed balls, even if they bounce or bad throws to 1st, I stretch or scope balls good. I barely strike out, I hit balls to outfield almost everytime, I almost always get doubles, triples cause of my running speed. Iam very knowledge in baseball. I think I have what it takes to make it to the MLB. Iam an elite athlete. I always believe in myself and love baseball passionately. Iam wondering what I have to do to get the MLB, like do I have to join my city team, or goto mlb tryouts, or join an american college? Iam from Canada, so im not sure what to do? how to get there? Please help

  1. It sounds like you're already on your way, a little HGH wouldn't hurt either.

  2. Many players are drafted out of high school or college based on their play. Another way is to attend tryouts. Visit this link for more info. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/abo...

Consider attending a university. If you play well in college, word will get around. Prepare by using a pro model wood bat and practice hitting to all fields. You should start on a weight training program if you havent already. And of coarse practice, practice, practice. Good luck.

  3. Frankly, you might be too small to play pro ball.  The number of players of your size are very few.  Try to non-chemically bulk up without losing the speed that you have.

  4. First, you need to avoid injuries:

  5. Well I think tryouts are either in FL or AZ. I would contact a baseball coach and have them watch you play and see if they can help you along.

  6. Tryouts, go to an american college that has a great baseball program, go play winter ball in the caribbean(alot of scouts there).  If you really have the goods, then there are always ways to at least get a shot.  You might grow another 2-4" by your 20's so you could have alot more potential then you already have.  Good luck!!

  7. Flexibility, mechanics, and a wood bat will get you on your way to becoming a better hitter. Now before you look away from this let me explain. I can bet good money that you are not as flexible as a gymnast so until you are you have not done your job on making yourself flexible, which will make it easier for your body to move when you hit and throw the ball and also run the bases.

Now for mechanics, you have to video tape your throwing, fielding, and hitting mechanics and learn where you are making errors in the motion. Watch video of how Major League ballplayers hit the ball (go to www.mlb.com or www.youtube.com or google search "MLB First Year Player Draft") and take the quality basics of their mechanics in the videos and apply it to how you hit the baseball. For more info click here http://theprospect09.googlepages.com and see "Hitting With Success," "Fielding," and "Why You Should Hit With Wood."

Good luck with the training! Feel free to email me if you have any questions at theprospect09@gmail.com. Look forward to talking with you.
