How Do I Make a Balloon Pop By Itself?

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to make a balloon pop by itself in somebody's hands without them seeing how it happened. What's the best way to do this?

That's a good question.

Find a way to put some water in the balloon and a heat source in there as well. Something hot enough to turn the water into steam. The thermal energy will cause the water to expand into steam and eventually the steam will expand and pop the balloon...I mean if anything that they taught me in science was for real then it should work -- just like popcorn!

Interesting question! A bit of a prancster are we...

I would go with the 1st answer however make sure it's not corrosive to skin!

Then you will need to do a few trial runs because you will need to know how long it will take to eat through the rubber.. no point giving it to someone if it's gonna take 10 minutes to burst lol.

Use a red balloon and get a 50mw green laser pointer.  You can get them on the web for a couple hundred bucks.  You can pop the balloon at quite a distance with a laser pointer, but be very careful because if you blind someone with the laser pointer (these powerful ones are not toys) you will be sued for all you have.
