How Do I Mount A Skateboard On A Wall?

I'm buying my fiance 2 awesome decks for his 21st birthday which is in october.

He mentioned a while ago he wanted some nice ones to mount on the wall, so my question is how would I mount a skateboard on a wall without actually drilling into the wall or damaging it?

  1. While it may cause a little damage, what I would do is hurl it at the wall on edge so it plunges through like a knife, the remainder that sticks out will give the display a nice 3-D look.

  2. Although I have never done this, my fiance is a skater as well, and your idea sounds awesome!

I would look at Lowe's, or Home Depot, and ask about shelving units that have 'hook' like things on them. That way, ideally it would only be a few screws in the wall, and you could also take the boards down for a closer look. You could always use the standard flat shelves as well, and lay the board length wise across the shelf. They also make 'L' shaped things you s***w into the wall, one on each side should do it. Also, it depends on if the boards are going to be just plain board, or are the trucks/wheels going to be on there as well? If so, they sell wall board holders at sports stores or the above hardware stores...the way you would hang them then would be up to you and your creativity.
