  1. That's why you should always read the instructions - especially with Fisher Price product because they always put these tricky little specifications in the instructions that will cause people to botch the whole assembly if not followed to the T.

Anyhow, you'll have to pull off the retainer (I believe it's red) in the centre of the pedal to get it off. However once you've pulled it off it's very likely it will be broken and will not be able to be re-used. If there were no extras provided in the box simply call up Fisher Price @ 1-800-432-5437 and order replacement parts or you can buy them direct from FP for $1 here: https://store.mattel.com/CatalogBrowser.... You'll need to give them the model number of your toy which you can find on th box or on the instruction sheet.

Fisher price is very good with parts replacement usually having them to you within 5-14 days, at least that's how fast I've received parts from them.

  2. The pedal on the right side usually unscrews the normal way. The one on the left side is screwed in "backwards".  Otherwise the normal motion would tend to unscrew the pedal as it was being ridden.  You use a ViseGrip or wrench or even a pliers.

Then you ask all your neighbors to help you.
