  1. the lysol works ok.  autozone has some stuff called odor out

close all the windows, start the car with ac on and resurculate button on. spray the odor out on the vents. let the chemical resurculate with the ac system. step out of the car, keep it running, set the outside air button on, spray odor out on the vents under the wiper arms. make shure you dont lock your self out of the car, try it with your lysol, you will get rid of most of the smell. there are other products out there that work just as good.

  2. They make these things that is a gel in a can, all you do is open the lid and put it under your car seat. It is not scented, but it does absorb smoke, mold, pet odors, and more. It is wonderful! Go to Lowe's they have it there!

  4. get a bucket and some resolve and clean lightly teh seats carpet and headliner. then febreeze it and leave the windows down a little over night. best while its HOT because it will dry fast. you may need to repeat to get it all the way out.

if you have the money have it detailed because they will do the same thing! but tell them you NEED the headliner cleaned!

  5. Try opening the sunroof, if you have one, and open your windows. Just letting sit and air out after spraying it down should do the trick.

  6. People here are going to a lot of effort to get you to spend money on one nights worth of cigar smoke. Nothing works better than fresh air. The Lysol that you used will 'mask' the smell for awhile but winding down the windows will work better.

If you must spend money go to your local auto suppy store and buy an aerosol can of autonotive air conditioner cleaner/deodorizer. Follow the instruction religiously. This stuff is great.

  7. This may sound drastic but it will eventually work. Go to any local grocery store and buy a minimum of four large width and length inexpensive tin foil cooking pans. While you're there pick up a gallon of white vinegar. When you get somewhere where the car will be sitting awhile lay the pans in each foot-well and fill then at least half full with the vinegar. It's best to do this at night so that the car has a long time to soak up the smell of the stinking cigar smoke. Do this for a week or two till the stench is gone for good.

Don't worry about the smell of the vinegar cause it will not last over a day or two.

I accidentally dumped a 5 gallon plastic gas can over in my trunk a couple Summers ago and this same vinegar trick worked for me.

  8. you cant

  9. mix a little tide with some warm water in a bucket. take a scrub brush and use this solution to shampoo your seats and carpet. in this heat it should dry in a few hours. you can also spray the interior with a product called odo ban i think you get it at home depot. or febreeze.

  10. I don't have much luck with any of those sprays. Just irritating. Instead, I found a product at CSK Auto called Innofresh Auto odor eliminator that really worked great to get rid of smoke smell in my car that I just could not get rid of.   I had to use a few of these in car and also my trunk but they really worked. It's totally unscented so it gets rid of the odor rather than covering it up with another smell.   I think you can also buy this product direct from innofresh.com.

  11. Liberally spray down all seating and carpeting areas with Febreeze

  12. Fabreeze or put a bar of irish spring under the seat.
