How Do I Sell More As A Sales Associate

Question

I work as a sales associate at a clothing store (Guess? by Marciano) and I wanna know what tips you'd give for selling more. We all have daily goals we have to meet and I find it kinda tough (although I started out last week).

I don't see how gaining more experience will help since you can gain only so much at a job like this. I'm not shy, I always tell people about the promotion we're having, I help out customers who are struggling, I try to keep things maintained as best as possible but I don't wanna come across as being a pushy sales associate either.

I was a seles associate for a Melrose store in Seguin. You are doing everything right, but you may want to become familiar with skews and floor plans. It adds to what you know so that if later you decide to move up in the company thats one less thing you need to be trained on! Good luck and keep up the great customer service it's very important! (Heres a hint, make sure you greet EVERY customer that enters the store because there are so many other places they could be shopping and they chose your store, so make very sure they feel welcomed when they walk in; also, if  they are in the dressing room and need a different size, offer to go get it for them.)
