How Do I Stop Antivirus 2009 From Popping Up Every 10 Seconds?

I keep getting a pop-up ad about Antivirus 2009.... and it's happening ALL THE TIME.

I'm aware that it's a false adware/spyware what-the-heck-ever thing so I downloaded and purchased PC Tools Spyware Doctor and cleaned everything up in my computer. (There were 478 threats and 21 viruses)

The pop-up stopped...... until I re-started my computer.

Now it's back.

How do I get rid of it for good? Is there a free program to do so? I already spent money on this PC Tools so I don't want to buy anything else.

uninstall the Norton products in ur comp.

next delete any leftover folders of Norton

Try malwarebytes - I hear that has good results with that one.

Also, you may need to turn off System Restore and/or run your virus/spyware scans in Safe Mode.

The first option is:- a windows malware removal tool is available at the microsoft website get that one that is free for windws genuine users.

or else go for any other antivirus like avira security suite or nod32 security suite. They are better and perform well.
