How Do I Store A PS2 Controller?

I have been storing my PS2 controllers by wrapping the cord around the controller and I n o that's not good fro them because now they are all bumpy and don't work as good.How can I store them NEATLY without wrecking them?? Thanks

Make loops on the wire and hold them by elastic bands
