How Do I Take Japanese In This Situation?

i am an upcoming freshmen in high school. my school only offers spanish as a foreign language. i am very interested in learning that japanese language, i have tried on my own but i can't seem to grasp the concept. i have thought about taking it at other schools, except the schools in my area are now teaching chinese over japanese. learning this language means alot to me. my dream is to go to japan. my sister has already lived my dream.

  1. Some high schools offer programs where you can either drive or take a bus to a nearby college or university to take classes for high school credit. One of my friends did it for Latin. You could look into that, or look into foreign exchange student programs. You could go to school for a year in Japan and learn the language through immersion while living your dream of visiting the country, or your family could host a Japanese foreign exchange student in your home who could possibly tutor you.

    If none of these work out, I would suggest saving your money and buying the Rosetta Stone language-learning program. I have not used it myself, but I hear that it's worth its high price and can teach you almost any language fairly quickly.
