Your camcorder is a Mini DV & apparently an older model. Therefore you do not have the capability to transfer video from tape to memory card in camera. To get the video on your computer you need a firewire cable & a firewire port on your computer. Make sure your drivers are updated & check the support site for your PC for FAQ's and documents on where the firewire port is, if you even have one, on your PC. Good luck!!!

Depends your source, what format of tape really. But normally just patch it into your usb or firewire and use a videe editing suite to cue the capture. You will need a huge card, raw video can be a gig every few mintes. Or recompress it with a compression program.
