  1. Not everybody can be Hannah Montana :(

  2. I'm 13 and I'm in the same postion. I'm trying to audtion for everything I can right now. &I sugguest keeping your grades up so when the oppurtunty does come your parents won't give you a hard time because of your grades. It helps to know people in Cali. But never give up&follow your dream

  3. get an education...get some talent...get an agent...take acting classes..go to hollywood or new york..kiss a lot of butt...be prepared to spend money...nothing comes for free...now do you still need this..

  4. ok first off you just cant go right into it! it takes a VERY long time! you have to learn, go to classes, get coaches and do all that! its not that easy! i wnat to be an actor also but i know its goin to be a while before i see myself on tv! and plus you would have to audition for disney channel or nick. its not that easy. they might not even like you and they might pick someone else. im 15 also and so since you r the same age you should go to drama club becuase this year is where im starting and im goign to work for my goal to be an actor. so i might as well research it on the internet and just sign up for drama club, get a coach, find acting classes and you never know! with enough practice and dedication you might be on disney channel! i hope this helped =]

  5. I went through the same thing. You need to realize that what you want to do is very hard. People would rather hire adults than Teens.

You will need to get a few different head shots depending on what you want to do (theater/film/television/Commercials) but your photographer will go over all of that with you. Head shots can get a little bit pricey but they are 100% necessary. Picking your photographer is very important so i really recommend going to a professional who specializes in head shots and not a Family  portrait studio. Your full cost should include a pre shoot consultation, 1-2 hours of shooting and they should put the pictures you choose on a cd for you.

once you have your head shots you should have your resume printed on the back. Your resume should include you height weight eye color hair color etc. It should also include any unions you belong to and any experience you've had(This includes school plays). This is what agents and casting directors will look at as well as the picture.

You should then post all of this online. There are many websites for this. Some of the best are nycasting.com, lacasting.com and newfaces.com. Some of these do cost money so be prepared to pay a little. You will find auditions there and you can submit yourself for them. You will be looking for non union jobs until you are more experienced but that is a totally different story. These sites also assist you in finding an agent.

You can send  Your resume unsolicited to Talent Agents (thats the type of agent you are looking to get) but most of the time it will be ignored. If you do hear back from them then bravo.

Next i recommend moving to or near a big city like new york or LA if you do not already live there because that is where most of the jobs are. When you have an agent you could be called for an audition the night before and you may be called back for a week later so living somewhere far from these cities is unrealistic.

You should go to all of the auditions that you can find including open cast calls. You also need to understand that you are competing with hundreds and sometimes thousands of other people for a role at any audition. You say you want to be on nick or disney but you should still go for any audition that you can. And you will not be able to pick the channel you are on.

You need to learn to not be affected by rejection. You will get rejected most of the time. You need to keep trying. Casting directors/agents like to see personality so you should net get nervous. Just be yourself.

You should definitely take acting classes and vocal lessons because some parts will require you to sing. They help so much and can go on your resume for training.

Good luck with acting. Hope i helped!
