How Do I change picture files into .bmp files?? ?

I am using the Custom PSP Theme Converter, and i want a picture s the background but this thing pops up and says something like this " The picture must be in .bmp file and the pixels should be in 480x272 and should be 24-bit color. So could anybody tell me how to change the picture? Or tell me what i need to do

Just open the picture in MS Paint and go to Save As. In the second drop-down menu "Save type as" choose 24-bit Bitmap.
