How Do I get People To Join My Group?

I started a group on Yahoo:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vegiheads/

And none of my real-life friends have Yahoo email- how do I get people to join my group? The last time I came on Yahoo Answers and asked people if they wanted to join my question was deleted and I don't know why.... help me out please?!

First make your site look sharp.  Choose custom colors a good photo and welcoming message.   Click edit beside description on your cover page then scroll down and you will find where to do all that. Send an email to all your friends and relatives with the URL pasted in  explaining the group and inviting them to join and asking them to forward the message to their friends and relatives asking the same.  It takes a  long time to build a good group, So good luck
