I just bought a 2007 G6. None of the paperwork states GT or GTP. All I know is that its a 3.5 V6.

  1. Look at your window sticker.

  2. It's probably not a GT or a GTP, it's probably a base G6.  If you're still not sure, take your VIN to a Pontiac dealer and ask them to tell you.

  3. Type your vin in on google,  it will bring you to carfax click on the link to carfax after you click on the link it will tell you that you have a 2007 G-6 and it will say what model it is.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THE CARFAX FOR THIS!  Hope this helps.

  4. You either have a base G6 or a G6 GT.  The GT comes stock with the 3.5L V6, which is optional for the base model.  The stock base model features an inline 4, while the GTP features a 3.6L V6.  A GT emblem would be on the rear next to the right tail light so take a look.

  5. a G6 GT will have a chrome GT emblem on the trunk and most likely a 3.9L engine.

  6. That's right you have a G-6. All of the GT and GTP have emblems on them and different levels of interior trim.

  7. it is a gt bc the gtp have 3.6  v6 also if your still not sure test your 0 to 60

if it is under 7 sec it is a gtp
