How Do Those Sample Viruses To Test Your Anit-Virus Work??

Ive heard there was sample viruses you can download to test your a/v. What if your av doesnt detect them? Wil they do any harm to my pc, how would i get rid of them. I have Mcafee security suite, & superanti spyware Profesional. Will they be removable or what? Where do I get Them from-what website?

    There is a complete explanation, and they should not harm your PC. It is NOT a virus or malware. Yes you could manually delete them, if needed.

  3. The file contains an ASCII string. Any good anti virus program will stop you from downloading any of these and will inform you that ‘A Virus Was Found‘ and abort the connection. Others will allow you to download any of the files and save them to a folder from where you open them. Upon opening, your anti virus should warn you that a virus has been found and you should choose the option to put it into quarantine.

    When you have run any of the tests delete any test files that you have saved and also delete them from quarantine.

    These tests are quite safe to use and cause no damage to your equipment.
