If your gesture is selfless, then yes---sometimes.

The person might really be hungry or need bus fare to a job they just started.  Good deed.

Or, they might want booze or heroin, or they're lazy bums, and by giving you perpetuate their bad behavior. Bad for them, bad for society as a whole.

A decision on a case-to-case basis is my way, and I decline to give 98% of the time.

Well, it depends on what you give. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime".

have you ever tried to reach out to the other side how did you feel if you felt good your a good person now if you felt good for that think how you would feel helping another person that needs it we all need to stick together and help each other when we can if we can't to do that why are we here

Because if you can help somebody, you are helping god's children and we are all god's children and it makes you feel good about yourself and it makes the people that you help feel good, and its a win/win situation.
