My friends 3 year old keep leaving the freezer door open! She has a tall standing one. She tried time outs, threatening to not by ice cream, even spanking his fingers! He just doesn't care he won't leave it alone! She tried those Velcro things that you glue to the freezer! She tried a bungie cord around the entire freezer. She even had it moved to her bedroom behind locked doors! He gets the child proof handle lock off as well. He's a very smart and determined young man!!! She wants to just throw it out, but I told her I would ask the public first, and see if anyone of you good people have any suggestions!!! PLEASE HELP!!! LOL

  1. Tell her if she keeps leaving it open, monsters will come out and nibble on her toes at night...lol

  2. Try putting a magnet in between the freezer door and where it closes. Hope that works. Or maybe even put a chain around freezer and close with combination lock that she'll only have code to. Good luck

  3. Try duct tape.

  4. Install a padlock and spank that kid.  3 years is old enough to understand no.

  5. my children can manage to open all the sorts of supposedly child proof locks also. the only way to stop them is to not give them access to the room i now have key lock on my doors and the kitchen stays locked the whole time. when i'm in it there is a baby gate across it also which they can get over but it gives me time to stop them!

  6. go to onestepahead.com

they sell dpuble locks for the fridge that go on top rather than on the handle. i doubt a three year old could reach that high.

or, for an alternative method...you could put a big scary clown bust in there. the next time he opens that door it'll be his last...
