How Do You Clean A Scratched an XBox 360 Disk?

My Assassin's Creed CD is scratched in a circular motion around the edges. I saw videos on YouTube that says that Toothpaste is effective and some other stuff. I'm afraid if my CD will be further damaged if it doesn't work. Does any1 know a way that won't damage your CD, without going to the store or using money?

Cut an Banana in half and then "rub" it all around the CD disk. This helps to take the scratches away!

Yea, he said without spending money idiot.

Anyways try using a thin layer of car wax. then wipe it off (after it dries) with a multifibre cloth.
