How Do You Connect Two Computers Together Without A Router?

my friend brought her laptop over and she can't find a connection

sooo ; how do you get a connection from my computer to hers?

if i don't have a router?

Ethernet. It is a cord that plugs in from your modem to your Computer Tower. Just unplug it from your tower and into the jack in her computer.

It is usually either black or blue and its ends are identical. they look like a phone cable but fatter.

She can't find a connection? Are you talking about an internet connection or computer to computer? Either way, the best and cheapest way is to buy an ethernet hub. Connect both computers to the ethernet hub using ethernet wires. That will create a computer to computer connection. For an internet connection, unplug the modem from the desktop, plug it and the 2 computers into the ethernet hub, then restart the modem.

I'm sorry but you can't connect just to your laptop there has to be a place where you can get internet you either need a cable or a connecting place
